The main contract consisted of refurbishment of a disused factory building, alteration and refurbishment of the adjoining office block and construction of new External car parking facility.
The M & E requirements for the project included new office and factory heating, workshop and welfare extraction systems, air conditioning and installation of new roller doors. The electrical installations included a complete rewiring of the factory small power, lighting, machinery supplies and complete new installation of the office block building.
Due to the nature of the project and the close relationship developed with the client on a previous project, we carried out the contract using an open book method and procured the required sub-contractor elements through tendering and apprised quotations on cost and quality. The client was updated on a monthly basis of the project budget and potential savings, overspends were identified quickly.
Working closely throughout the project proved both beneficial to the client as they remained in control of the project budget and advantageous to ourselves as cost additions were identified and agreed quickly. Our continued success with repeat business is testament that our partnering ethos is strong.
